The 23,000 square foot Vision Health & Wellness Center is one of the most comprehensive vision rehabilitation facilities in the country.
Data shows that over the next ten years, the number of individuals with vision loss in Central New York will exceed 2,700. These consumers will need cutting-edge programs to ease the stress of vision loss in their everyday lives.
CABVI’s innovative approach to vision rehabilitation therapy will impact people with vision loss, from infants to seniors, with the potential for national influence.

CABVI is committed to partnering with institutions of higher learning, as well as research facilities, to strengthen, support and advance the care and treatment of those with vision loss, and promoting improved vision health. One of the unique components within the Vision Health and Wellness Center is a classroom that provides an environment to engage university and college programs. Students have the opportunity to work with individuals with vision loss in areas of nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, fitness, social work, and much more.
CABVI’s Vision Health and Wellness residential wing also offers two studio apartments for interns or clinical rotation students who are enrolled in masters or doctor programs in vision health.
Located at 408 Elizabeth Street, Utica, N.Y. 13501, the Vision Health & Wellness Center is across the street from CABVI’s Administration Building.
