Woman Reading a BookAt CABVI, our goal is always to help people who are blind and visually impaired live as independently as possible. One way we assist our clients is by helping them access radio reading services for people who are blind and visually impaired. To access a reading services program, listeners who are blind or visually impaired will need a specially-tuned radio, which CABVI will provide free of charge.

In our region of the state, we offer the Read-Out Radio Reading Service, which is provided by WCNY Classic FM and is available throughout Central New York. Read-Out is a free service used to inform and entertain people who are blind and visually impaired, and is on the air 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It features news and information spanning a broad spectrum of interests and entertainment, such as readings of books, newspapers and magazines.

Reading services for people who are blind and visually impaired is just one of the many services CABVI offers.

In addition to reading services for people who are blind and visually impaired, CABVI is pleased to offer a wide range of resources and services to those who are blind and visually impaired, including:Areas We Serve Map For Reading Services
