Job Title: Material Handler II

Reports To: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Movement of product from one location to another. Delivery of raw materials used for production and palletizing and shrink-wrapping of finished product. May use the following equipment: forklift, flat carts, hand trucks, pallet jack, shrink-wrap machine & Little David auto sealer.
Requires a high level of teamwork, attention to detail and dependability. Must have a positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
Ensure production employees have ample raw materials to work. Provide additional work material as needed.
Handle the necessary documentation while receiving or sending materials.
Assist in production reporting to supervisor. Accurately record raw and finished product.
Pick and ship orders.
Locate product on racking.
Ensure cleanliness of work area.
Keep workplace safe.
All other duties assigned by supervisor.
Must be able to work well with others.
May use flat carts, hand trucks, pallet jack, shrink-wrap machine and Little David auto sealer. Must have the ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to take direction as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stack, fill and count products. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform key job elements.
In house position. Noise level is moderate to loud.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
