Job Title: Marketing and Design Associate

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Marketing & Design Associate will coordinate the day-to-day marketing of programs and services for CABVI and will be responsible for all graphic design projects. Tasked with developing strategic marketing plans for CABVI in order to attract potential consumers and customers, and retain existing ones. Tasked with liaising with local printers and promotional vendors.
Requires a high level of teamwork, attention to detail, problem solving skills, negotiation, marketing, flexibility, creativity, dependability, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
Design, layout, revise, edit and produce various publications including but not limited to the agency newsletter (print and digital versions) and annual report.
Design and produce employee newsletter.
Responsible for the design of artwork for agency projects, signs, flyers, brochures, posters, billboards, logos, exhibits/displays and illustrations.
Assist with special event planning.
Support program/service marketing and public relations efforts through research and analysis.
Responsible for all updates and changes to the CABVI Website.
Lead Social Media outreach efforts for CABVI. Deliver content via LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, email, or direct mail.
Responsible for updates to the agency intranet pages.
Interface with CABVI department managers, supervisors, and other staff to address their PR needs and promotional requirements.
Research media coverage and industry trends.
Develop fresh story and blog ideas.
Coordinate, design and deliver email campaigns.
Design mass-mail materials for agency fundraising campaigns and events
Responsible for coordination of agency photography/videography and maintaining the photography/videography database.
Assist the Public Relations and Events Manager in his/her relationships with CABVI’s boards of directors, councils, committees and program work groups as needed.
Adapts to change and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Consistently achieves annual performance objectives.
Must be skilled in presenting information and responding to questions from a wide variety of constituencies including vendors and customers. Must write effective objectives, proposals, plans, reports and general correspondence. Must have excellent listening skills and the ability to clearly articulate in all situations. Experience in professional writing or field related to writing and graphic design required. Must be able to work and cooperate on all levels as a team member.
Must be knowledgeable regarding databases and spreadsheets and have excellent mathematical skills and ability to interpret specifications. Must be highly creative, detail oriented, accurate, organized, analytical, flexible and able to meet deadlines. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro).
Must have ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to evaluate potential contacts to increase revenue. Must be able to quickly and appropriately react to difficult situations and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and quickly resolve issues. Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously required.
Regularly required to stand and walk. Regularly required to sit for periods of time at a computer terminal. Occasionally required to reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel or crawl. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and ability to focus. Frequently required to speak and hear. Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds. Some travel may be required as needed. Must be available for evening or weekend agency related functions as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing or related field. Minimum of two years’ professional experience in graphic design, public relations or marketing preferred.
