CABVI is seeking a Shipping Clerk to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support warehouse and distribution operations.
Requires a high level of teamwork and attention to detail. Position is required to interface with order entry, internal and external customers, customer service, inventory control, accounting and shipping. Must have the ability to prioritize tasks.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
Accurate daily data entry of outbound and inbound shipment details into freight charge spreadsheet.
Efficiently and accurately processes shipping paperwork as needed (pick tickets, packing slips and bills of lading) to maintain a smooth flow of work.
Generates shipping and product labels as needed using BarTender software.
Completes advance shipment notifications (ASN) in a timely and accurate manner for all required shipments through electronic data exchange software systems.
Audits daily shipments in small parcel, LTL, and TL area verifying product details, quantities, shipping address, order number, special shipping instructions.
Assist as needed with processing small parcel orders through FedEx and UPS shipping systems.
Handles freight claims and coordinates returns with customer service department.
Completes appropriate paperwork for return via truck or small parcel to CABVI warehouse and maintains customer satisfaction logs in excel.
Assist with cycle counts within all warehouse locations as needed.
Cross trains with others in the shipping department and inventory control.
Adapts to change and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Consistently achieves annual performance objectives.
Must have excellent listening skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees, vendors, customers and outside agencies. Must read and write accurately.
Must be willing to learn new technology and processes. Must have strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Excel.
Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and changing environment. Must be able to prioritize demands and responds accordingly. Must maintain a strict adherence to CABVI’s mission statement and core values.
Regularly required to stand, sit, and walk. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key job elements. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent education. 2 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse/transportation environment.
