For people who are blind or visually impaired, CABVI paves the way to rewarding employment opportunities. For people of working age who are blind or visually impaired, succeeding at jobs is a key to full dignity and independence. Meaningful employment is more than just a source of income - it’s a source of pride as well. The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) offers two types of employment services – Community Employment and Central Indsutries – to help people who are blind or visually impaired find and retain jobs they value.

Community Employment: The Employment Specialists at the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired evaluate the interests and capabilities of our consumers, providing them with the resources necessary to successfully pursue their employment goals. Services include assistance with: readiness assessment, job searching, resume writing, interview preparedness, employer contact and on-the-job training. And our services don’t stop when consumers start working. We continue to provide support services to both the consumer and employee.
